Democrats also announced town Trustee Tom Sopris switched back to the Republicans and that the Dems are nominating political novice Anthony Patsky to replace him on the March ballot. Sopris has reportedly been a registered Republican before (he was said to be considering a previous switch to challenge Smallwood in 2009). Patsky is a member of the Rotary Club, teaches history at Coxsackie-Athens High, and runs Lincoln Auctions in Coxsackie.
