Erika Eklund reports in The Mountain Eagle that Delaware County officials have plans for an upgraded emergency communication system, with lease agreements approved for tower sites in towns of Hancock and Roxbury, and negative State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) declarations for proposed tower sites in the hamlet of Grand Gorge and town of Middletown. “We are moving along with these,” board chairman Jim Eisel said at a recent county meeting. “We need to get the system up and running and acquiring all the land with these lease agreements is what we need to do.” Read the full story in The Mountain Eagle.
