Cayla Harris reports for Capitol Confidential that property values increased in Columbia County by more than 10 percent over the past two years. Only three other counties in the state -- Erie, Oswego, and Nassau -- had more than 10 percent growth in property value over the past two years. Overall, property taxes – excluding New York City – are up 2.4 percent from 2018 in New York State, the largest one-year change since 2014.
