Heaney TV ad up ahead of November election

Matthew Hamilton in Capitol Confidential reports that Republican candidate Andrew Heaney is first on the airwaves with a television ad touting his candidacy for the 19th Congressional District seat being given up by Chris Gibson (R-Kinderhook). Heaney's “A Voice for All of Us” ad begins airing Jan. 23 on Time Warner Cable and Cablevision systems in the district that includes Greene, Columbia, Dutchess, Albany, Rensselaer, Ulster and several other counties. Republicans John Faso of Kinderhook and Robert Bishop of Delaware County are vying with Heaney for the nomination, and will probably face Zephyr Teachout, a 2014 gubernatorial primary challenger to Gov.
