Democrat Teachout has nearly $1.5 million on hand, while Republican John Faso has roughly $356,000, according to October quarterly filings with the Federal Election Commission. Teachout brought in $1.6 million since July and spent more than $1.25 million. Faso raised roughly $922,000 and spent more than $700,000. The largest expenditure in the contest so far came from the pro-Republican super PAC Congressional Leadership Fund, which spent $2.7 million on attacks against Teachout. Other large expenditures were made by the National Republican Congressional Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
