Blending words and sounds, bringing to the airwaves live performances as well as field and studio recordings by writers the host has crossed paths with over the course of a quarter century. This month’s edition of Poet Ray’d Yo celebrates National Poetry Month by featuring recordings of Jerome Rothenberg made by host Chris Funkhouser in 1995 and 2019. Rothenberg, known widely for his work in ethnopoetics, is the author of numerous volumes of poetry, as well as many influential anthologies, including Technicians of the Sacred and Symposium of the Whole.
