Greenville denies Cypress Creek waiver

Audrey Matott reports in the Greenville Pioneer that the Town of Greenville board voted unanimously to deny Cypress Creek Renewables a hardship from the town's six-month commercial solar moratorium that was adopted in April. Cypress Creek wants to put a two-megawatt project at 9775 State Route 32 in Freehold. Cypress Creek has current or recent projects in Coxsackie, Catskill, Cairo, Greenville, Westerlo, Palenville, and other local towns. Many local towns have instituted solar moratoriums as companies rush to set up large-scale solar farms in the area. Read the full story in the Greenville Pioneer.
