The Daily Freeman is reporting U.S. Rep. Antonio Delgado held his 50th town-hall style session live on Facebook on Sat., Dec. 19. The Rhinebeck Democrat opened the event with an update on the status of COVID-19 relief negotiations and his work advocating for small businesses and rural communities. After his introductory remarks, Delgado answered questions submitted in the comments on a range of topics including specifics about COVID-19 relief, the need to address climate change, his efforts in Congress to support veterans and vaccine distribution. During his first term, Delgado has held 50 town halls, 35 in-person and 15 virtual town halls during the COVID-19 pandemic. Delgado will begin his second two-year term in January.
