Hosted by The Magic Stranger

At the age of 14, Eddie Van Halen (b. January 26 1955) was obsessed with British Super Group Cream. He once claimed that he had learned almost all of Eric Clapton's solos in the band Cream, "note for note." Originally from the Netherlands Van Halen was transplanted into California surf land, imagine the young guitar wizard at an early age strutting around shirtless with guitar strapped over his back and finding his way in 1969. In celebration of Van Halen's , Magic Stranger will play some of the first hard rock sounds to emerge and form during that endless year '69. Featured Artists will include Led Zeppelin, Cream, Black Sabbath, and some lesser known hard rock outfits from around the globe including Holland's own Outsiders who Eddie doubtfully was aware of.
