Don Mathisen reports in The Daily Star that Rep. John Faso (R-Kinderhook) heard from protesters who spoke against his vote on the Republican bill that cuts taxes and health care for many Americans, at a Delaware County Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Roxbury Arts Center in Roxbury July 7. Faso spent much of his talk before the chamber explaining his vote in favor of the Republican plan that reduces healthcare and Medicaid expansion, and also cuts taxes for wealthy Americans. Faso said the bill might not pass in the Senate. “If they don’t, I think what we have to do is find the pieces where we can get Democrats and Republicans to agree on how to fix the flaws that are roiling the insurance market,” Faso said. After the Roxbury appearance, Faso went to a public Hartwick College event hosted by the Otsego Chamber of Commerce, but only publicized on Faso's website two hours before the the appearance began.
