Pacifica Radio went on the air in 1949 to bring a new voice and a new style of radio to the airwaves. Voices that had never been heard on the airwaves were suddenly given space, to present their views, their art, their philosophy. For this episode, Pacifica producer Andrea Kissack and former Drama & Literature Director Susan Stone produced an insightful montage of voices to celebrate 50 years of Public Affairs programming from 1949 to 1999.
