Court rules Feds can withhold grant money from sanctuary cities
Feb 27, 2020 12:31 am
Steve Hughes and Rebecca Carballo report for the Times Union three judges on the Second Circuit Appeals Court ruled Feb. 26 that the U.S. Attorney General's office could block federal grants to cities that declared themselves "sanctuary cities." In 2017 Hudson passed the "Resolution Affirming Hudson as a Welcoming and Inclusive City,” which some define as a sanctuary city law, and some do not. Read more about this story in the Times Union.
