Kinderhook Village to hold public hearing on STR law
Mar 12, 2020 12:27 am
Emilia Teasdale reports in the Columbia Paper that the Kinderhook Village Board holds a public hearing on a proposed short-term rental law at 7:15 p.m. April 8. Hillsdale and Jewett have recently passed similar laws, and Hudson, Chatham, and other Hudson Valley towns are discussing their own rules. The Village already has rules regulating bed and breakfasts, and long-term rentals but not short-term rentals. The proposed law would require the owner of a property used for short-term rentals to apply for a permit with the village building inspector. “The application shall contain information sufficient for the Building Inspector to review the property condition,” the proposed law reads.
