Germantown approves chargeback for rescue squad

Nov 01, 2017 7:10 am

Debby Mayer is reporting in The Columbia Paper the Germantown Town Board approved nearly $83,000 for the 2018 rescue squad services chargeback, at its meeting on October 17. This is the town’s portion of the cost for rescue squad service from Northern Dutchess Paramedics. The charge has not increased in several years, Supervisor Joel Craig said. Craig said the funds are taken out of the town’s share of county sales tax before it is paid, so it is not part of the town’s budget. The rescue squad bills clients’ insurance, but “that doesn’t cover everything.” Read the full story in The Columbia Paper.
