Classical ship not sailing for Kingston

Paul Kirby reports in the Daily Freeman that a floating concert hall is not coming to Kingston waterfront. Composer Peter Wetzler was trying to bring the Point Counterpoint II ship along the Hudson River, but said Dec. 8 that the vessel had been sold to a group of businesspeople in Florida instead. The Wall Street Journal estimated the the barge, which used to hold classical music concerts, would sell for $4 million. Wetzler did not say what the final cost was but acknowledged the ship is heading to Lake Okeechobee. Read the full story in the Daily Freeman.
