Sara Rizzo reports for News10 that the Manhattan store Mel The Bakery has moved to Warren Street in Hudson. Nora Allen opened the bakery on the Lower East SIde in 2020, but her building was sold earlier in the year. Allen says, “I found this location [in Hudson] and it checked so many boxes for the needs of our production.” The bakery specializes in naturally leavened sourdoughs with less common grains such as einkorn and poppy seeds. They also sell croissants, pastries, sandwiches, tomato pie, and focaccia, and are only open on weekends. Read more about this story at News10.
