A broadcast in honor of host Rob Saffer’s two cats, Sonny and Monk, featuring pieces long and short by Sonnys Ra, Sharrock, Clark, Simmons, and Rollins, along with Monks Thelonious, Meredith, Tibetan, Slavic, Bulgarian, and Byzantine.
After the local news at noon, “Overlooked” is a show focusing on overlooked and under-heard jazz, improvisational, and other fringe music, from early roots to contemporary experiments, a mix of familiar to rare, classic to weird.
