Ikue Mori began playing drums and joined the band DNA soon after arriving in New York in 1977. By the mid 80’s she started playing drum machines and became involved in the downtown improvisational community. Since then she has collaborated with numerous musicians and artists throughout the US, Europe, and Asia, while continuing to produce and record her own music. Ikue won the Distinctive Award for Prix Arts Electronics Digital Music category in 1999. Shortly after, she started using a laptop computer to expand her vocabulary - not only to play sounds but to create and control visual works as well. Various collaborations include work with John Zorn, Craig Taborn, Joan Jonas, Zeena Parkins, Sylvie Courvoisier, and Kim Gordon.

Ami Yamasaki is a vocalist and cross-media artist from Tokyo. Yamasaki creates installations and performances, and directs films. With primal vocals and movement, she explores the possibilities of a deeper understanding of the mechanism of the world. In 2017 she received a grant from the Asian Cultural Council in New York. Her solo show, “Signs of voices,” premiered at the Kyoto Art Center in 2016. Her work has been shown at the Tokyo Experimental Festival, Aomori Contemporary Art center, and RMIT (Melbourne), and has included collaborations with Keiji Haino, Yasunori Ikunishi, Akira Sakata, and Dairo Suga, workshops at The National Museum of Art Osaka, Arts Maebashi, and Sapporo City Kojo elementary school, as well as television appearances as a narrator and vocalist for drama.

Jake Meginsky has collaborated with an extraordinary range of musicians including Milford Graves, Alvin Lucier, Joan La Barbara, Kim Gordon, Vic Rawlings, Greg Kelley, Bhob Rainey, Joe McPhee, Thurston Moore, William Parker, Daniel Carter, Paul Flaherty, John Truscinski, Arthur Brooks, and Bill Nace. His work has been presented at numerous venues, including Institute for Contemporary Art (London), Deutsches Historisches Museum (Berlin), Laemmle Music Hall (Los Angeles), the Duolun Museum of Modern Art (Shanghai), The Kitchen, Lincoln Center, The Guggenheim, Joyce, Symphony Space, Judson Church, The Stone, Roulette, Museum of Arts and Design, the Museum of Fine Art (Boston), Experimental Music and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC),and the Mead Museum of Art (Amherst, MA).
