Leggio: Catskill will break from county EMS

The Daily Freeman is reporting Catskill Town Supervisor Joseph Leggio expects the town will break from the Greene County Emergency Medical System by 2015. Leggio made the comment at a Town Board meeting Tues., Oct. 2, after the board learned the town’s share of the service next year is expected to increase more than 13 percent. Leggio said the town's contract with EMS expires at the end of 2014 and he believes the town ambulance system is on track to provide paramedic services as of January 2015. The Catskill Rescue Squad has five members with paramedic-level training. Read the full story in the Daily Freeman.
