Trump signs emergency $8.3B coronavirus package

Caitlin Emma is reporting for Politico President Donald Trump March 6, signed the $8.3 billion emergency funding package thereby sending a flow of cash to federal agencies and states working to combat an increased number of coronavirus cases nationwide. The bill provides a total of $7.7 billion in new discretionary spending and authorizes an additional $490 million in mandatory spending through a Medicare change. The legislation supports vaccine development, research and equipment stockpiles. More than $400 million will be sent to states during the next 30 days.
