Greenville neighbors wary of Stewart's Shop expansion

Anthony Fiducia reports for Columbia-Greene Media that some neighbors are opposing "big improvements" to Greenville's Stewart's Shop. At a Dec. 6 public hearing before the planning board one neighbor wanted a tree buffer to block light and the store, and another complained about noise from people hanging outside the store after hours. The store is adding food services, additional seating in the dining area, and a beer cave. It would reduce the fuel pumps from four to three under the plan. The owner of The Westerner down the street wanted more parking spots added. Steve Kinley, a real estate agent for Stewart’s Shops, said the 12 parking spaces meet the town's regulations, and more would not be added. Read the full story in HudsonValley360.com.
