MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting the Centers for Disease Control's exposure assessment in the city of Newburgh has begun. The study will provide new information about PFAS exposure to Newburgh residents and community participation is key. Residents will be solicited to participate via regular U.S. Mail, phone call, or home visit. Letters have been sent to selected households. Representatives have started calling those households and will return to Newburgh starting on March 10 visiting the homes of anyone not previously reached by mail or phone. The primary goal of the exposure assessments is to provide information to communities about levels of PFAS in their bodies. The exposure assessments will also measure PFAS in drinking water, and measure PFAS in indoor dust. Read the full story at MidHudsonNews [dot] com.
