Michael Williams and Lauren Stanforth are reporting for the Times Union U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is moving out of the Capital Region to the North Country and has put her Rensselaer County house on the market. The 3,436-square-foot home, located off Brunswick Road in Brunswick, is listed for $420,000. Gillibrand and her husband, Jonathan, bought the house in 2011 for $335,000, according to Rensselaer County tax records. But her base of operations for years has been Washington, D.C., where her youngest son, Henry, attends school. Her teenage son, Theo, attends boarding school. Gillibrand grew up in the city of Albany and graduated from Emma Williard School in Troy. The family moved to Brunswick after they sold their home on Mount Merino in Greenport, that overlooked the Hudson River; that property sold for $1.3 million to the managing editor of Time magazine.
