Ouellette alleges Democrats Facebook posts got it wrong about him

Jul 12, 2019 12:59 am
Emilia Teasdale reports in the Columbia Paper that Matthew Nelson was elected board president and John Antalek vice-president, at the July 9 Ichabod Crane School Board organizational meeting. New board member Elizabeth Phillips and Interim Superintendent Lee Bordick were also sworn in at the meeting, but the vote for president was the news of the night. Board member Jeffrey Ouellette was the only vote against Nelson, and Antalek was elected without opposition. Nelson is also the chair of the Town of Kinderhook Democratic Committee, and Ouellette alleges that the Town of Kinderhook Democrats Facebook page reported misinformation about him and his family. “I did graduate from the district,” Ouellette said refuting a Facebook post which has since been taken down. He also said his daughter attended the school district until eighth grade, but admitted she did attend a private school for high school, calling that a “personal decision.” Read more about this story in the Columbia Paper.
