Daniel Zuckerman is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media plans to construct a new $2.7 million town office and garage complex in Coxsackie are running on schedule, and a groundbreaking ceremony at the site is scheduled to take place next week. The building, at 56 Bailey Street, will replace the town’s old highway garage and town hall at 16 Reed Street. It will house the town court, administrative offices and highway department. A $3.25 million bond resolution to finance the project was unanimously approved by the town board in September 2017. The new building will last decades and will be fireproof, Coxsackie Town Supervisor Richard Hanse said. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held 11 a.m., Fri., May 25 at the Bailey Street location. State Sen. George Amedore Jr., is scheduled to attend. Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
