Democrat state Senator Cecilia F. Tkaczyk represents New York's 46th Senate District, which stretches from Amsterdam to Kingston, including all of Greene County. Tkaczyk sat down with host Ed Fertik in the WGXC Hudson studio on March 28, to discuss her path to the Senate, how Greene County has the second worst income to housing expense ratio in the state, the Common Core standards, the general political climate in New York state government and what she hopes to accomplish during her tenure in the state Senate.
