Diane Pineiro-Zucker is reporting for the Daily Freeman two Catskill men have been arrested and accused of hate crimes and burglary. Tyler Oliver, 32, and Kyle Schoonmaker, 31, were charged after allegedly breaking into a Jewish summer camp in Greene County five years ago. The two are accused of drawing swastikas on a desk in the camp’s school building, state Trooper Steven Nevel said February 9. Nevel said Oliver and Schoonmaker, were both arrested February 8, and charged with aggravated harassment and burglary, both felonies. Police said the arrests stemmed from May 2016 incident at Camp Achim on Pleasant Acres Road in Leeds. Of the suspects, the trooper said law enforcement knew Oliver and Schoonmaker were both there at the time. Nothing was stolen, Nevel said.
