New farm vehicle registration law means less regulation

Mid-Hudson News reports that New York has a new farm vehicle registration bill, but legislators say it means less regulation for New York farmers, not more. Agricultural vehicle owners previously were required to register the vehicle’s point of origin and to maintain an additional car that also specified each anticipated destination the vehicle would travel. But no longer. Jeff Williams, director of Public Policy for the New York Farm Bureau call the measure “a common-sense solution to solving a red tape issue facing owners of farm-plated trucks in agriculture.” Read more about this story at the Mid-Hudson News website.
