Celebrating Art's Birthday is a tradition started by French Fluxus artist Robert Filliou who declared, on January 17th 1963, that Art had been born exactly 1,000,000 years ago when somebody dropped a dry sponge into a bucket of water. Throughout the last decades artists continued organising annual celebrations in the spirit of Filliou's "Eternal Network" or "La Fête permanente".
The Conduction Series is a collaborative live radio broadcast produced by a group of sound and transmission artists across the Americas on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears in New York’s Upper Hudson Valley. The group comes together on the first Friday of every month at 4:10pm ET using the web platform Mezcal. Emphasizing LIVE interactivity and media archaeological methods, the series explores themes of migration, feedback, user participation, low-key and on-site interaction with mobile devices, and remote collaboration. conduction.wavefarm.org
