Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's office June 4, announced the New York State Police issued more than 13,000 tickets and arrested 225 people for impaired driving over the Memorial Day weekend. The STOP-DWI initiative targeted impaired and reckless drivers from May 24, through May 27. During the holiday weekend, state police arrested 225 people for DWI and investigated 134 personal injury crashes, which resulted in 190 people being injured in addition to four fatalities.
