Greene County sales tax revenues up
Jan 23, 2011 11:09 am
Sales tax revenues in Ulster, Dutchess, and Greene counties all increased in 2010 over the same period in 2011, according to a story in Sunday's The Daily Freeman by Patricia Doxsey. "With two more 2010 sales tax revenue checks still due, receipts in Ulster and Greene already exceed what those counties had budgeted for 2010 and receipts in Dutchess are on pace to surpass 2010 projections," Doxsey writes. Greene County has recorded $25,282,642 million in sales tax revenues so far for 2010 (two reports are still due) up $260,872, or 1.04 percent, from the $25,021,770 the county received in sales tax revenues in 2009. The 2010 Greene County budget called for $24,899,995 to be generated in sales taxes.
