Where the Wild Things Are: In your own backyard. "Conversations On a Tightrope" will discuss the increase in woodchucks, squirrels, moles, voles, gopher/chipmunks, etc. taking up residences in our own backyards, under sheds, garages and homes. Barbara “Missy” Runyan, licensed wildlife rehabilitator, and founder of Friends of the Feathered & Furry Wildlife Center in Hunter, NY, will share her expert advice on why this is happening and steps to take to discourage them from plaguing homeowners even in our more densely populated towns. Ms. Runyan will also share the many problems that are harming and killing raccoons, bears and other wildlife: extreme climate changes, and destructive human behavior due to ignorance, negligence and outright insensitivity.
