WRGB-TV is reporting Albany's Times Union Center is now ranked among the top performance venues in the world, based on ticket sales. The Albany County Executive's office announced this week that the group Pollstar ranked the center 52nd out of 200 arenas around the globe. The ranking is based on ticket sales alone. According to the county executive's office, the center sold more than 190,00 tickets so far this year, and in the month of May alone, the arena brought in more than $1.6 million. The TU Center welcomed some major acts this year, including Elton John and Ariana Grande. The Jonas Brothers will perform there next month. Read the full story at CBSAlbany [dot] com.
