Face masks now required at Albany International

Eric Anderson is reporting for the Times Union the Albany County Airport Authority April 29, announced it will require passengers and visitors at Albany International Airport to wear face masks or similar protection. The measure takes effect immediately and will include the Million Air terminal, which handles private aviation traffic. Social distancing measures will now be extended to cover passengers and visitors, and protective shields have been installed at airline ticket counters for employee and customer protection. Beginning May 4, JetBlue will require passengers to wear face masks, while Frontier Airlines will require face masks beginning May 7, which is also the target date that the carrier hopes to begin pre-boarding temperature checks of all passengers.
