Counties get 911 operations money

David Lombardo reports in Capitol Confidential that on Sept. 6 Gov. Andrew Cuomo disbursed $10 million to local 911 response and emergency service dispatch operations. “This critical funding will allow counties to make necessary upgrades to their emergency service dispatch operations, creating a safer, more secure Empire State,” Cuomo said in a statement. Albany County will receive $265,378, Dutchess County gets $168,353, Columbia County receives $152,979, Rensselaer County gets $144,186, Greene County 911 operations receive $134,721, and Ulster County gets $123,664.
