Amanda Purcell is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media two men were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in a raid conducted in Hudson on October 18 around 8 a.m. Deportation officers with ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations executed a “targeted enforcement action,” and arrested two Guatemalan nationals between the ages of 21 and 25, ICE spokesman Khaalid H. Walls said. The men are charged with administrative immigration violations and are facing deportation, Walls said. ICE would not identify the men or disclose the address that was targeted. One of the men is being held in the Albany County Correctional Facility, while the other was released with electronic monitoring “for humanitarian reasons,” Walls said. City police were called to assist ICE Thursday morning, Chief L. Edward Moore said. One person was reportedly "aggravating the ICE agents," he said, while a second person recorded the incident. Hudson police made no arrests. Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
