May 02, 2018 11:31 am
Patricia R. Doxsey reports in The Daily Freeman that the Ulster County Legislature will again consider imposing term limits on most elected county officials and extending the term of county lawmakers, but separately this time. Now, one resolution calls for a 12-year term limit for legislators, the county executive, and the county comptroller. Another resolution extends the terms of county legislators from two years to four. These proposals now go before the Legislature’s Laws and Rules Committee before getting a full legislature vote and public hearings. Read the full story in The Daily Freeman.
