The Daily Freeman is reporting Republican Assemblyman George Amedore of Rotterdam holds a three-point lead over Democrat Cecilia Tkaczyk (pronounced KAT-chik) of Duanesburg, in the race for the seat in the state’s new 46th Senate District. According to a poll by the Siena College Research Institute, Amedore leads Tkaczyk, president of the Duanesburg Board of Education, 47 to 44 percent. The 46th District includes all of Greene and Montgomery counties; parts of Albany, Schenectady and Ulster counties.
