Snow emergency declared in Catskill
A snow emergency is in effect for the village of Catskill, according to a post on the Catskill Police Department's Facebook page. The parking plan for snow removal was effective 8 p.m., Thu., Nov. 15, and it will continue until all snow is removed from village streets. Beginning at 8 a.m., Friday all vehicles must be parked on the even side of village streets for 12 hours, until 8 p.m. Those vehicles should then be moved to the odd side overnight. Residents are expected to continue to move their vehicles every 12 hours until the snow emergency has been canceled. Any vehicle illegally parked will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. Questions about the snow emergency may be answered by calling the village DPW Superintendent Mike Mcgrath at (518) 943-5595 or the Catskill Police Department at 943-2244.
