Field Goods officially opens in Athens

Lindsay Ellis in the Albany Times-Union reports that Field Goods officially opened its 18,000-square-foot space in Athens with former New York Times food columnist Molly O'Neil and Modern Farmer editor Sarah Grey Miller in attendance Jan. 29. Since May the company has been collecting local farms' fruits and vegetables, bagging them in Athens, and sending them out to subscribers. Field Goods has won a Empire State Development grant and funding from the Empire State Development Minority and Women-Owned Business Development and Lending Program and Greene County.
