WGXC will feature lots of local music all week on many shows, from classical to jazz, to folk to rock, Irish music to the Black Arts Festival, and much more. Overnight hours will feature past interviews and performances on WGXC, and tracks from CDs, LPs, and mp3s from many local performers such as Brian Dewan, Liv Carrow, Lex Grey and the Urban Pioneers, Manuel Quintana, Mark Patton (pictured on WGXC home page, shown performing at Gallagher's in Cairo), Claude Haton, Catskill Community Orchestra, Joe Elmo, Jeremy Kelly, Matt Bua, Loni Pont, Greg Stewart, Abby Lappen, Pitchfork Militia, Kyle Esposito, Mambo Kikongo, Mother Fletcher, Rob Hervey, Lady Moon, Coxsackie-Athens Community Band, Young Paris, Alexander Turnquist, Windham Chamber Orchestra, Voodelic, Steppin' Out, Frank Cuthbert, Brian Kehoe, Tommy Sharp, DJ Gio, Cross River Youth Chorale, DJ T-Bone, Evan Randall, John Esposito, Marilyn Miller, Bunnybrains, Melissa Auf de Maar, Sonny Rollins, Jake Plourde, Bongo Roots, Fall Harbor, Avondale Airforce, Peter Head, Old Friend, Hudson City Ramblers, Jeffrey Lependorf and Miguel Frasconi, Black Lake, The Landlines, Meshell Ndegeocello, Otto Hauser, Rasputina, The Briars of North America, DJ Lunar Moss, Lincoln Mayorga, the Chrome Cranks, and many, many others. MON., Aug. 8, 10 a.m.: Greg Stewart, Greene County musician, performs.
MON., Aug. 8, noon: Lincoln Mayorga's classical show "Monday Musical Matinee" features local artists with international reputations.
TUE., Aug. 9: 4 p.m.: Bindlestiff Family Cirkus on WGXC Afternoon Show.
WED., Aug. 10, 9 a.m.: Mambo Kikongo live on "WGXC Morning Show" with Philip Grant.
WED., Aug. 10, 4-6 p.m.: Performers from the Black Arts Festival will be in the Hudson WGXC studio.
WED., Aug. 10, 7-9 p.m.: Irish DJ Tony Fallon takes listeners on an Irish musical tour of the Catskills.
WED., Aug. 10, 9-10 p.m.: Live from Red Dot Open Mic.
WED., Aug. 10, 10 p.m.-midnight: Tommy Sharp hosts local musicians in the WGXC Hudson studio.
THU., Aug. 11, 9 a.m.: Ellen Thurston interviews Rob Johanson about the Hudson Music Festival.
THU., Aug. 11, 4 p.m.: Pat Linnan of Jack's Empty Hours on the "WGXC Afternoon Show."
THU., Aug. 11, 7-9:30 p.m.: Hudson Valley-based bassist Michael Bisio interviewed by host Cheryl K. on "The Jazz Disturbance."
FRI., Aug. 12, noon-2 p.m.: Brian Dewan (Catskill) and his brother Leon Dewan on "Pure Moods" with Shannekia McIntosh.
FRI., Aug. 12, 9:30 p.m.-midnight: Nautical Almanac/ Bunnybrains/ DJ Jill/ others live from Basilica Hudson.
SAT., Aug. 13, 1-8 p.m.: Several local artists hosted by Shannekia McIntosh, Tommy Sharp, and Tom Roe. Jeremy Kelly is confirmed for 5 p.m. Melissa Dubbin and Aaron Davidson are confirmed for 6-8 p.m.
SAT., Aug. 13, 8 p.m.: Live from Basilica Hudson with Daniel Higgs/ Buke & Gass/ DJ BDG/ JD Samson.
SUN., Aug. 14, noon: Yassou Benedict will join host Jackie Thomas.
SUN., Aug. 14, 10 p.m.: Former Hudson resident Tom Morini performs live in WGXC Hudson studio.
