PLAY audio (2:17). The plan announced by DePietro is a necessary workaround since Hudson City Hall is not ADA compliant. Second Ward Alderwoman Tiffany Garriga [Gae-REEH-guh] said last week, she has been unable to attend recent committee and full Common Council meetings held in city hall due to the lack of wheelchair access. Garriga has been wheelchair dependent since May due to a serious leg injury. “It is not just about me,” Garriga told HudsonValley360 last week. “It is about other people, about disabilities."
