GOP targets Delgado, Maloney over impeachment

Nov 15, 2019 1:00 pm
Chris McKenna is reporting for The Fray U.S. Reps. Antonio Delgado and Sean Patrick Maloney are among 37 House Democrats this week targeted in digital ads by conservative groups opposed to the impeachment of President Donald Trump. The American Action Network spent $2 million on the spots, urging the House member to “work on issues we care about” and dismissing the inquiry as a “partisan charade.” Release of the ads coincided with the start of the televised impeachment hearings on November 13, and provide like-minded readers with a link to their representatives. The targets are Democrats whose congressional districts Trump won in 2016. Maloney, who represents New York's 18th District, told supporters in a fundraising email this week that he was “already facing an onslaught of Republican attacks for standing up for our democracy,” and that “Republicans are spending in my district to try to stop us from getting to the truth.” Read the full story at The Fray.
