Satisfacción Lab

Jorge Marredo was born in Badajoz, Spain in 1977. He has studied psychology and social and cultural anthropology. Self-taught, his work encompasses styles ranging from field recordings, soundscapes, electronics with analog synthesizers, radio art, noise, and psychedelia. His work is primarily published on netlabels, particularly in the U.S.A, but also in Belgium, Argentina, England, and Spain; he has participated in compilations with Eduardo Polonio, Llorenç Barber, and José Iges, among others. He has also been invited to participate in the Ciclos de Música Imprevista (Cycles of Unplanned Music), organized by the collective Antipasto, and has played with free improvisation groups, including guitarist David Paredes and singer Graciela Lopez.

In spring 2011, his work Reflujo (Reflux) was a finalist of the contest Europe Ein Klang Panorama (Europe, A Soundpanorama), which was shown at ZKM in Karlsruhe (Germany). He also participated in the 3º Convocatoria Bélica (Venezuela), El arte y su sonido (The Art and its sound) organized by the LABoral of Gijón (Spain), and in Resonoser, I Encuentro de Arte Sonoro en Radio (Mexico). He has also been elected to the Sound In Program for young creators in 2012.
