WGXC will be broadcasting Democracy Now! extended live broadcast of the Presidential Inauguration. The Democracy Now! team will take a look back President Obama’s first term in office, analyze prospects for his second term and provide live coverage of the inauguration proceedings. During the program, we will also examine the civil rights, social & economic justice and anti-war legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The program
will include live and taped interviews, excerpts of speeches and performances. Possible guests include Angela Davis, Danny Glover, Alice Walker, Ralph Nader, Rita Dove, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Van Jones, Sonia Sanchez, Julian Bond, Marian Wright Edelman, Barbara Ehrenreich and Sweet Honey in the Rock and Mos Def.
