All Together Now!: Maggie Hazen
90.7-FM in NY's Upper Hudson Valley and wgxc.org/listen everywhere
Produced by many contributors.
Maggie Hazen, from the Columbia Collective, discusses their show "Talking Back: Artists of the Columbia Collective," which is at Foreland in Catskill through Sept. 25. "Talking Back" features new site-specific works from the Columbia Collective, a multimedia group of young female and trans artists named after their previous facility, the New York Department of Corrections’ Columbia Secure Center for Girls in Claverack, New York. The Collective is now incarcerated at the maximum Brookwood Secure Center for Youth down the street in Columbia County.
"All Together Now!" is a daily news show brought to you by WGXC-FM in Greene and Columbia counties. The show is a unique, community-based collaboration between listeners and programmers, both on-air and off. "All Together Now!" features local and regional news, weather updates, feature segments, and newsmaker interviews. "All Together Now!" begins with The WGXC Daily, a news roundup with local event listings. Then, there are special segments of shows about the Hudson Valley, interviews with newsmakers, and your friends and neighbors talking about local subjects. Contributors include Rob Gelles, Joe Demanso of the Catskill Makers Syndicate, Philip Grant, Tim Light, Tom Roe, Lynn Sloneker, Jack Sencabaugh, and many others. Some reports come from WGXC's partner station WOOC-LP in Troy, New York. Tune in to learn more about the issues that affect communities throughout the Capital Region and the Hudson Valley, from the Catskills to the Berkshires and beyond. Listeners can call (518) 291-9492 any time and leave a three-minute message, that may be included on "All Together Now!”.
