Miller is the winner of the 2013 Shirley Jackson Award for the short story "57 Reasons for the Slate Quarry Suicides" and the 2019 John W. Campbell Memorial Award for "Blackfish City." He is a graduate of Hudson High School. In the second half-hour, an excerpt from "Medical Freedom." Host Heather Martin speaks with Albie Park, co-founder of HRH413 (Harm Reduction Hedgehogs), an organization located in Western Massachusetts, dedicated to improving the quality of harm reduction care, organizing and practice.
