Music from around the world is featured. Bringing the audience into the realm of other cultures through music, hopefully expanding empathy for the “other,” and recognizing that “other” in ourselves. We open with music from an album titled "Sowal Diabi-From Kabul to Bamako" which features a group of musicians from Mali (Mamani Keita), Iran (Aida Nosrat/Sogol Mirzaei), Afghanistan (Siar Hashimi), Kurdistan (Rusan Filiztek) and the French Ethio-Jazz group Arat Kilo. Moving on with Ethiopian influenced music we hear more from Arat Kilo, the band Jump to Addis and the Either Orchestra live in Ethiopia.
