Mid-Hudson News reports that Columbia County had the lowest rate of unemployment in the Hudson Valley in the month of July, according to the Department of Labor. Columbia County's 2.6 percent unemployment rate was just lower than the 2.7 percent rate in Sullivan County. Columbia County's rate was down from 2.9 percent a year ago. Greene County was at 3.4 percent, down from 3.6 percent a year ago. Dutchess and Ulster counties came in at 3.0 percent and 3.1 percent, respectively. Read more about this story at Mid-Hudson News.
