Agreement reached for earlier alcohol sales on Sunday

Jun 15, 2016 12:03 am
Kevin O'Toole at ABC10 TV in Albany reports that Governor Cuomo and legislative leaders came to an agreement June 14 to allow Sunday alcohol sales after 10 a.m. The previous rule limited alcohol sales on Sunday to after noon. Alcohol license holders will also be able to apply for 12 special permits per year to sell alcoholic beverages on Sundays starting at 8 a.m. in areas outside New York City. And wine can be sold in growlers, and liquor stores can sell gift wrapping and gift bags under the bill. Read the full story in Capitol Confidential.
